i’m not in favor of it personally. but it just kinda is don’t let the door hit ya on the way out situation. they already were on the verge of exiting and now, because this conference can’t produce a bonafide “tough” schedule year in year out, that can’t guarantee you a spot into the playoff even when undefeated, that there is no longer a reason to be in the conference because that was the main staying point for these teams in the past. if any of that makes sense. easy schedule and respect of conference made it a viable pathway to the CFP (i still think it is)

i am against it tho. this is a weird situation that there imo wasn’t really a right answer too. and i would LOVE clemson to stay there because the conference does have talent when the big programs eventually pick it back up, and once that happens it will make no sense imo (outside of financials) to move elsewhere
