In 2014 a 1 loss conference champion Ohio State made the CFP despite a 14 point home loss to unranked Virginia Tech. Ranked wins included #8 Michigan State and #25 Minnesota

1 loss conference champion TCU was left out, despite their only loss being a 3 point defeat @ #5 Baylor. Ranked wins included #4 Oklahoma, #15 Oklahoma State, #20 West Virginia, and #7 Kansas State

All of this is to say the committee hasn't been afraid to f*** TCU over in the past to get a bigger name in there. Don't be surprised if it happens again

USC has been my favorite team to watch all season lol definitely gonna be rooting for them to make the playoffs

They have the ranked wins but a lot of them are narrow, and they've also had nail biters against unranked teams

Just the thought of getting a playoff without Alabama, Clemson, or Ohio State is unbelievable. Those 3 teams have occupied 53% of all playoff berths since the CFP's inception in 2014, all 3 have made it twice, and at least 2 of those teams have made it it every single year outside of last season.

Kansas really started the season 5-0 and is going to finish 6-6. That Jalon Daniels injury was the most impactful injury in CFB this season

It sucks bc Bean came out so hard out the gate. Haven't watched since their first game after the injury, but it sucks to see

To be fair their schedule got a whole lot tougher immediately following the Daniels injury but yeah really unfair what happened to them
