UnityTime to face the music man, DJ is awful. And this is coming from someone who thought he would end up being a better QB prospect than Lawrence at one point
The guy moves in slow motion, processes information slower than just about any "elite" QB prospect I've ever seen, and his confidence (and therefore the team's confidence in him) seems to dwindle more and more every game. He makes the simplest plays look incredibly complicated and almost looks like he's constantly in pain when he's playing
They've turned him more or less into a QB draw guy who occasionally throws screens, swing passes, and short routes barely past the LOS. He's going to get the Kelly Bryant treatment very soon, if I had to guess he'll be done by the Wake Forest game.
hearing he has a longer leash than Kelly did. probably in part that Trev was more touted than cade. but donāt worry iām facing the music, heās pretty s***.
i donāt think the meh oline and meh playcalling helps him much, but i agree he canāt read the field well enough or quick enough seemingly.
the play calling prob is the way it is because of his inability to make plays and the shaky oline, but nonetheless i havenāt fancied the calling when it was Tony Elliot either and i donāt think it aids QBs who want/can to air it down the field.
