i was excited for the playoffs and while the games have been good the vibes are off.

like you have a conference championship which may very well be decided by arbitrary tiebreakers given the size of divisions. and half the time doesn't even matter.

Then you have the playoffs themselves where there have been a ton of rematches, getting a bye is likely disadvantageous. and they're so spread out!!

like what makes the playoffs cool is you have all these super strong teams who have only faced similar talent a handful of times, finally face off with each other and you get to watch the hypothetical you've been arguing about all season play out.

edit: with the current format, it's only a matter of time before 2 teams face off three times in a season.
