yeah such a weird ass take to make. I see both sides. I just think the impact of not playing gonna put pressure on every other sports team and athlete. It's about the sacrifice. Look at the reaction that the rest of the world had when the NBA stopped playing after the virus. Every other sport followed, as well as schools and everything else.
This just another example of being a leader for an issue bigger than sports

You know what it will do? It'll put someone in the oval office who would at the very least hear people's concerns.
Do you know what trump has done in response to the outcry for desperately needed police reform? He signed an executive order surrounded by police chiefs from across the country. The executive order simply recommended that they increase police training. He didn't make anyone do anything. He made a recommendation and held an entire ceremony to look good and sign a piece of paper that did absolutely nothing.
Police brutality will not be gone for a long time. But if we don't start sometime it will never go away. People need to realize that we're not going to be alive to appreciate most of what redistributing police funds to social services does to our country. It will take at the very least one generation. More than likely many more
