just in general though, coaches aren’t gonna adjust to something they notice immediately.
and there’s plenty of times of jvg missing. His brother also shows his knowledge of the game whenever he commentated (I would argue even more than Jeff) yet we saw what happened with his last job lol
most of it is just narrative based and how crucial was a certain experiment / adjustment in terms of recency

I'll look at it this way, he's fully self-aware the injury prone narrative surrounding him (remove this season from the equation). If he feels like it'd be even worse on his body to be bumping with 5's all season, I can't fault him. This playoff run has shown that he knows when to make the switch.
