Wonder if it'll be like TLOU where a "remaster" is out on PS6 in a year
I think there's a decent chance it's a launch title.
I still feel like we could potentially get this late 2026 . But I’m just being an optimist
2027 kinda a weird year to wrap my head around, but i'll take it I guess.
2025 doesn’t even sound like a real year to me tbh but we’re here

They would have to put it on both the 5 and 6 by then since console generations are usually about 7 years apart.

https://twitter.com/naughtydoginfo/status/1904929113695039626I think Sony or Naughty Dog would’ve refuted the 2027 release window Schreier floated by now if it was dropping next year. Also, Wolverine and the new Housemarque game seem like better bets for PlayStation‘s big 2026 first party releases.

The Last of Us Part 2 online backlash prompted Naughty Dog's next star to get "bootcamp-ing" from Neil Druckmann
The star of Naughty Dog's next game has said she's received preparation for the role - and specifically the online reaction to it - from studio boss Neil Druckmann, following the online abuse previously kicked up around The Last of Us Part 2.
Actress Tati Gabrielle will star as bounty hunter Jordan A Mun in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Naughty Dog's upcoming sci-fi project for PlayStation 5.
"Neil's been bootcamp-ing me. I know Troy Baker's experience, I know Ashley Johnson's experience..." Gabrielle told EW.
"I know Laura Bailey's experience," Gabrielle continued, referring to the backlash Bailey received for her turn as The Last of Us Part 2's Abby.
"I got a lot of love, but there was a lot of hate over me being a woman, me being a woman of colour, me having my head shaved, all these things that I didn't even actually initially see," Gabrielle said. "I'm out of the social media zeitgeist for that reason - but once I did, Neil Druckmann was like, 'Ignore it. No matter what, me and you, we're going to make something beautiful. We're going to make something that we're proud of'."
The actress also spoke more about the upcoming game's theme of faith. Back in March of this year, Druckmann explained how Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet features a fictitious religion which "becomes pretty prominent" in the game's alternate history.
"The question of faith is not black and white," Gabrielle elaborated. "When you initially think of faith, you think of religion, which is a part of it, but there's also faith in oneself. There's faith in your environment or your community. All that faith means is, What are your beliefs?
"What are the things that you hope for? Faith sounds flowery, but we all experience it day in and day out. What is your reason for waking up?"

When they bring back the Jak 2 type ambiance
Jak 2 was something else
Well the bad news is Neil and Halley have dropped out of the TLOU show, so Craig has complete creative control .
The good news is that Neil is now 100% locked in on finishing this game

Sounds like all good news to me
Take with a mountain of salt but I saw this on the leaks subreddit regarding a supposed leak on 4chan:
reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/1lvyvp1/intergalactic_leak_from_4chan
• Claims the game is like TLOU 2 meets Dark Souls, it's like a nested sandbox in terms of the open world
• Combat is really good and satisfying similar to God Of War 2018 where you can string combos
• The main character talks with a dialogue wheel but it's very sparse, she's alone for a lot of the game. Many encounters can be avoided, stealthed through or even negotiated with.
• There's still cutscenes and several characters you interact with but you can still piece together a lot of info by finding items, journal entries and exploring.
• Lighting engine is "insane" whole levels shift color based on “planetary phase” throughout the game
• They're targeting late 2026 for release

If that leak is true, I can totally see this being Naughty Dog’s take on Bloodborne. Would make sense because they already claimed in the Grounded 2 documentary that early stages of TLOU2 took A LOT of influence from Bloodborne.
TLOU2's combat is fun but it can be a little "magnetic".
Hopefully she's a lot more loose in this game. I can imagine the lighting engine being good. TLOU2 remake was blowing me away on PC. I can imagine what they're cooking up for a PS5 exclusive.
This looking to be the first “next gen” game of the current gen?
