I really don’t understand how you could watch this and miss the idea that this films central point was not to absolve her, nor was it’s central point to provide satisfying evidence of her guilt. I think there’s a type of person that wants this to be a courtroom testimony, and it just isn’t that.

nathan is jealous of billy because its clear that liz's level of enmeshment with him is as such to where he's talking for her and signing off her likeness and representing her in her stead. in many ways he has a vantage and command of liz that no one else has, including nathan, and for nathan, who wants to be closer & closest to the truth, billy is in the way. they come to blows when nathan confronts billy about the payment deal, because you see that nathan cares about her enough as a person to protect her from the possibility of her being taken advantage of. amanda's like 'you should get them to break up' and nathan, having just gone through a break up himself, kind of has those feelings for her germinate through her position of muse in his work. this is at least what the filmic narrative shows us

The only reason Billy is in the second half of the documentary is because he has the right of the attorney. He has essentially manipulated who they presented as the greatest liar. Nathan spends most of his time fascinated and explaining to elizabeth clearly that she is being manipulated that billy is doing things on her behalf. Openly telling Billy that he is doing things that go against elizabeths beliefs and things tha made her cry or emotional. Watching him not care. We dont see Billy cry in this. Unless people think Elizabeth holmes is the greatest actor and sociopath of all time she really cried she really showed emotions she is a human being not a robot. This isnt all an elaborate scam of getting pregnant having his kids, getting with indian dude. I think people are crossing a delusional line of not recongnizing these men took clear advantage of her.
