just stumbled into this somehow, but people think this viral boy band "Boy Throb" is the work of Nathan and is the subject of season 3
Nathan himself said no kids in Season 2 after what happened in Season 1. Maybe he was just saying that, but he genuinely seemed concerned (out of character for him) with the finale of Season 1 - even if he was able to spin it into a narrative that worked.

There were very briefly in an episode, but that's why the conversation comes up. The kids appear as part of a disability aid program and he's very clear that he doesn't want it to be mutated/joked about/etc after what happened with Season 1.
If anything, it's one of the only parts of Season 2 that feels like no prank or elaborate ruse is being pulled. You don't even hear any of the kids talk, it's just B-roll footage of them going through the program with their parents.

Damn I didn’t know about a chess movie that’s interesting

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised at this point but I do appreciate him being aware of it

Hope he's not too serious about not working with kids again. This is gold

When Nathan is talking to the mother in the S1 finale, there are times he genuinely looks like he is terrified that he flat out scarred the child and/or is about to get sued into oblivion. It stood out to me because he basically never actually seems concerned about what's going on even when he feigns "nervousness" about the situation.
I may be giving him too much credit (I usually lean into him being more real than fake, even if I know a lot of it is planned), but I really think that was not planned in the writing ahead of time. I feel like that whole thing only surfaced once it became a real issue on set, and he tied it back into the overall plot as the finale because of how resonant it all was.

Wow that’s interesting insight, I’m gonna do a rewatch soon and see if I notice that
I always get nervous that he will become too famous and his style will become impossible to pull off, but he keeps making it happen somehow

Are you kidding me bro? You really think HBO wouldn't make the parents sign s*** that specifically protected Nathan and HBO from any kind of litigation

I've been seeing this in the rehearsal sub for a while. Never seen the slow mo of the dude with the hat until now and you can definitely tell it's Nathan. I think it's exactly as he said it's going to be focused on immigration and the O2 visa application process. I can see a musk/doge tie in too. Would make sense since Nathan is a Canadian immigrant
I'm telling y'all
