Ngl I liked the first but I still thought people were gassed cuz KD1 was better than Lost Tapes 2 and Nasir.

But this is legit way better rapping and production

Relistened to the first one a few days ago, tbh I still love it too

KD1 was my AOTY, nothing to do with Nasir and TLT2, it was just that enjoyable to me. And this album hits even harder.

I feel like KD1 still had a bit of rust.

Nas here sounds rejuvenated like he got the Jadakiss diet and I think the features are better here

Tbh I really liked TLT2 too but after KD I revisited it and didn't enjoy it as much

Looking back it was just good to hear Nas spitting again after Nasir lol. It did have some really dope tracks but also some misses

True. Nas' rapping performance on KD1 was like a 7-8/10, on some tracks he went harder than others. But the songwriting was solid from start to finish imo

I don't even think he acknowledged his passing on Twitter on new years eve when the news broke
