Roddy is the only good mainstream rapper out right now
Dababy and Keem also

Last good/decent project was 9-8 years ago 😴
Dababy and Keem also
Dababy got redundant to me.
Keem needs to work on his rhymes more.

Do you purposely try to get made fun of in every thread

That's fair enough its your opinion
Nas is late on all the underground then
Rap is in a very stale place and this is factoring in underground rap too. Mainstream rap is the same stagnant s*** it has been for years, a lot of these underground rappers sound like clones too. Like he said, you listen to it, it’s cool. Then it’s like okay and you have no interest in it anymore
Can’t bring myself to really care what a OG thinks about contemporary music
Usually comes from a place of bitterness
Let’s not forget Nas told us hip hop was dead during Wayne and Kanye’s prime
I never want to hear his opinions on music ngl
Rewriting history. Ye and Wayne didnt peak until right after 2006.
2006 was when trashy ringtone rap hits peaked and NYC rap was disunified cause of 50.
I respect it
Just don’t give a f***

Boomers always hating, what else is new 😴
Nas didnt even diss. Hes just saying exactly what Kendrick said in his Control verse.
Nothing wrong with confidence.

you right MIKE sounds just like benny the butcher (scratch that griselda we not counting as underground technically speaking) sounds just like smino sounds just like noname sounds just like mach hommy sounds just like bbymutha
OP knew what he was doing making it seem like Nas was hating like Aries when he wasnt at all

You named 6 specific artists who don’t around alike. That doesn’t change the fact that other artists sound like them. None of them have unique or groundbreaking sounds. A lot of underground rappers will often go for the same type of sound/flow now and aren’t dropping anything thsts like damn I wanna listen to this again for awhile. Usually just one cool listen and you go back to the standout tracks time to time if there are any

Da baby’s last album turned me off tbh. S*** was awful

No idea's original, I think nas said that once.
Hell, some of the most memorable "groundbreaking" albums of the last decade were taking hella influences from jazz and funk and soul music. Look at TPAB

did you hear the EP dedicated to his bro?
The bit about thinking a project is great and then not going back to it the next week is so true man
I haven’t felt there has been a genuinely great rap project since Bandana
