oddly enuff people call 444 a classic & not any from this series
Think 4:44 is my second favourite jay album

it’s top 3, not sure what kinda point dude was tryna make with that
i’d rather have 1 classic album than 3 very good albums
At the time (when CDs were a thing) you couldn’t buy it in the record store, so I never really do, more a tape/independent album for me, I think people do generally count it these days though
yeah I always think of it as more of an independent album, like Kendrick seemed odd back then when it came to labelling projects anyway - he dropped an hour long mixtape and called it an EP at one point, so I feel like he was just making his own rules anyway lmao

I agree, although I do think KD3 is on a level with it or at least very close. The features spoil the other 2. Needs a better cover though
I couldn’t listen to the whole thing properly yesterday
Omg this beat switch on micheal & quincy wtffffffff

features on kd1 and 2 are great
the usher album, the styles album, jada album, a few more
hate covers like that
Bro looks infected
Also who is this dude? Barely even looks like Usher
this is an interior from the vinyl

Why do people do these artworks 😖😖😖 Getting shivers from just looking at it

Goddamn thread gross asl
i’ve been a Nas fan since middle school and i never thought i’d see a comeback like this tbh. Him and HB really put out 4 amazing albums in such a short span of time
@saveme with 4:44 it was the subject matter not the rapping that made it top notch imo, that and the production, jay sounds a bit flabby on it. He was just going through some s*** people wanted to hear about and did a good job at translating it into music
Nas is rapping circles around him on this and sounds sharp, it’s just he’s not going through anything so the subject matter isn’t as personal. Would love to hear another personal struggle album from Nas tbh
Some were, some were ass
How was Lauryn? Haven't listened to her verse

u right tho, the subject matter & the production were definitely the strong points, let me see what’s good

Flabby is an overexaggeration

She did her thing, although in all honesty I’d have perfected her singing a hook like on IWW

@Aftermathbws i’m gonna disagree with jay sounding “flabby” he jus ridin the beats lol, moonlight

See above
I was exaggerating, I love the album he just doesn’t sound as youthful or hungry as Nas

yeh nas hit a new prime in terms of rapping, really can’t remember any1 besides wayne doing it like that
the production on 444 doesn’t really give him a chance 2 spit the way u wanting him 2 lol
