He definitely sounds awkward on it, you right. I thought he still slid on the production though, obviously not as passionate as his works with Hit Boy but I dislike how ppl overlook it when talking about his projects in the ‘10s
Nas and Ye never missed, so expectations were unrealistic. When we got a flabby and sick Nas over Ye's experimental production it pissed fans off. That's also part of why Nas went so hard with this trilogy. Everything happens for a reason
The best one for sure
Takes me back to discovering rap and Nas in 2005. These albums always kind of give me a little bit of that feeling but this one really drove it home
Emotional, amazing
right? like i pressed play on new Nas album in 2000's but in 2022 actually
If that makes sense lol
Lupe idolizes Nas so he’d probably be over the moon.
Yes that’s what I was thinking too. Maybe a full circle moment because of course Lupe got that whole “perspective/personification” style from Nas
The King's Disease trilogy + Magic is the epitome of a second wind. God bless Nas & Hitboy.
Need him to go on a crazy feature run to solidify this crazy run.
Ehhhh not needed
OGs ain’t been delivering on feats lately. Maybe Rae and Face on SSS but I can’t think of anything else fr

Nas wasn’t terrible on Nasir, but it was clear that he hadn’t really felt inspired for years. KD1-KD2 felt like rapper rehabilitation and then he’s just been going nuts with Magic and KD3.
Man could stop rapping and just drop Lost Tapes forever and casually s*** on most dude's discography cause this man really dropping s*** like this at his half old age

Let him be the OG to change that.
I know he can do it.
It's Almost Dry
Forgive me brother lol I forgot all about him being on there

Nas dropped a lot of questionable bars and he was off beat on 3 out of 7 songs. The Nas we're listening to right now doesn't even sound like the same person.

Yeah man. The familiarity is making me emotional
Like it’s always great to hear from Nas and the other legends I grew up listening to
But this is really feeling like, a family member hugging me or something crazy like that
Like it’s really Nas, this isn’t music it’s HIM
His presence is so strong. First Time and Once A Man Twice a Child, this is what it’s all about

Lol I feel you but I wouldn’t do KD1 and 2 like that
2 in particular is above that level and definitely pointing towards what this is. Even though it’s not as tight as Magic I think it’s about as good
This one cleans them all up though, easily his best since Life Is Good

That last part is true. He’s might be the best rapper alive after this one idk man.

I strongly believe when it's all said and done Nas will be Top 3.
Michael & Quincy
what !!!!
Hit Boy might be the beat switch goat
From the more subtle progressions to full on switches, it is done so tastefully on here and makes the songs exciting. Pretty crazy. Michael and Quincy musically might be the hardest joint

Nah they still good albums for sure. KD1 at the worst is a 7.5 which is still pretty good. It’s just you could tell he was relearning certain things about himself as an artist and trying new pockets. The one on Magic + KD3 is a vet who was getting better and better with KD1 & 2.
