-Writers is hard
-Ok this Sons song is great as well. First time giving this a 100% full attention listen. The first half wasn't that good but it's starting to pick up now
-Nah hol' up this Sons song is generational. I love this
-Steve Miller Band snapped ngl
-This song with AZ is hard
-Ok this Bouquet song is fire, this beat is pretty f***ing dope
"Did Nas just say you're more than Fine shyt" on this song?
-Nas didn't shout out Little Simz but he shouted out Azealia Banks
-Junkie is a pretty good song as well. The verses are great and the beat is ok
-Oh s***, Premo sampled Ab-Soul on Junkie, that's hard. Ab probably smiled hearing that
-Shine Together, wow
-The message on 3rd Childhood hits hard, as someone who's 30
Deleted the song tbh. About 15 listens deep, I give it enough of a chance! Love everything else though. Found the first listen jarring but album is such a grower
Put that song back on
nas in 2025 be like versatile my style switches like my ever-growing love for lgbt folk shoutout my gays shoutout lesbians shoutout trans folk two-spirit i see you shoutout asexual poly and queens queers we did it again
And it’s fire
The problem I have with the production is how light it sounds and his samples were p generic. Premo was one producer who's beats always sounded dusty and brought a nostalgia feeling with them. This didn't have that imo.
Shout out to Nas for carrying the project
bro got too many recognizable samples on this ngl. its a minor criticism but still

Wtf kinda dumb ass opinion is this? Samples are too recognizable? I’ve seen it all
Am I insane or does Junkie have this incredibly annoying click in the left channel for like the whole song?
just no reason for that song to be the third NY State of Mind man. insult to the og
as a new yorker, I love the 30 year old reflection of how much has changed over here. It’s one of my favorites
Everybody criticizing preemo but Nas gotta be held accountable for picking these beats
Starting to see the vision the more I relisten its definitely more of a stripped down version of Preemo, like early Gang Starr Preem and that has its appeal I guess but yeah Premier is capable of way harder, way more exciting production than this, its just such an unexpected direction especially when you consider his work with Royce and a lot of his other recent production

congratulations youve got bent out of shape over something i myself called a minor criticism. youre free to use it for your future strawmans though

“Bent out of shape” I’m making fun of you
I’m the only one that thinks NY 3 beat is nuts?
its fire, personally the title was just throwing me off

Genuinely and unironically one of my favourite on the album. Love everything about it, especially the end part where he talked about ring being the new peephole
Whats wrong with the mic on Junkie?
One of the best songs on the album and the mixing is absolutely f***ed.

Listen to the album on a good system. I’m guessing you’re playing on AirPods?

Am I sleeping on Junkie?
I think It’s Time is the craziest song on this. Makes me feel like I’m listening to the first Lost Tapes or something, like some list radio freestyle

Junkie is great. It’s time, maniac, the intro track and NY state of mind 3 are amongst my favourite personally

Aside from the last 2 minutes of bouquet pretty much every track is excellent imo. Anyone not feeling it should play this album through a quality system and not just AirPods. Album is the definition of a grower and is a pure hip hop/boom bap masterpiece
