Need an explanation on how they reached this point
Who is buying this
Like genuinely interested
Cause who buys pure albums other than older people
Is it merch bundles?
BTS don't do any merch bundles, their fanbase is just crazy dedicated
if they did merch bundles/tour bundles they'd be doing a milli first week
BTS is going military duty are they not
when they come back they might pull 1m sales by the kpop stans
the radio sales for say so are heavily favoured towards the og, like 90%, I'm not sure the specifics of the remix vs the og on streaming but from what I've seen the remix is doing quite weak streaming wise comparatively to the og, though those last couple of days might've given it a boost
opposite is true with the sales with the large majority being the remix
so Nicki being credited will go down to whether radio+original streams outweighs sales+remix streams
Man the charts are broken. We're gonna get to point with 40 different #1 songs every year

Having a ton of #1s was standard until relatively recently. There were 35 #1 songs in 1974 and 1975

Sad man
Only artist left with integrity is drake
Even if he does decide to bundle for the actual album it’ll be normal respectable s***
Not lollipops and stickers

You can make a commentary on the state of sales without riding drakes d*** like this

That’s probably one of the most insane drake numbers stats ever
I doubt his new album does numbers like that and by all indication Kendrick and cole won’t
I think it’ll be a long time

Yeah for sure, 14 new songs and he's dropping new bundles every day
We thinking NAV going #1 now?
He’ll probably push for it yea
Drake obviously won’t bundle this week to try get it
I’d say 80/20 Nav/Drake
Actually nvm forgot deluxe

Yeah, it looks like it was really bad in the late 80s-early 90s then went to like around 15 songs a year after that. We're trending in the opposite direction though. Last year was the most single week #1s since like 1991.
Need an explanation on how they reached this point
Kpop is the original and king of the bundle sales approach. Western music just copying.
Kpop albums come with various merch in the album and it’s all randomized so fans end up buying multiple (sometimes even 10+ copies) of the same album to collect all the goodies.
BTS is the most popular kpop boy group oat and they’ve been doing those numbers for a couple years now. They sold over 4 million first week in South Korea with their album in February.
