Sunny SunBecause there’s way more politicing involved with the charts, labels & executives manipulate the charts so they can market their artists as the “ hot new sensation “
It makes them seem more popping than they actually are
BB doesn’t seem to care about their broken algorithm because they comfortable knowing they’ve monopolized chart entries due to lack of competition or they’re being bribed by executives to overlook the loop holes
Yeah, if we can all come up with simple ways to make the charts more accurate, yet Billboard either does nothing or makes incredibly minute changes you have to ask if they even want to fix things.

The vast vast vast majority of people who consume pure sales are not even close to the target audience for this music
Look at the top pure sales artists it’s country, it’s conventional pop, etc
The sales he gets are purely for chart purposes
Sure they might be fans and sure it’s impressive but they’re buying it for chart positionLike y’all wouldn’t be so annoying if you could just admit that the guy cares more about chart position than creating a Hit song that deserves to be a hit. Pure sales drop off the week after because after a credit card has bought a song 4 times subsequent copies don’t count. Streams drop off because the majority come from YouTube and videos don’t get sustained viewership and paid streams fall off because the music isn’t good. Sure radio doesn’t happen maybe he’s blackballed to an extent but GOOBA is not a song that would ever get significant radio play even if it stuck at #1
The one thing I’ll happily admit is that he’s losing some streams from lack of playlist placement. Maybe it’s blackballing or maybe the label is choosing to put that money elsewhere
im not saying it would be on radio as much as something like blinding lights etc- but hes doing these numbers with 0 radio play. It having any sort of radio play would atleast increase its positioning.
and if it had any sort of play on the radio it would have made gooba no1
i think the main reason he is so focused on chart topping right now is because for the past 2 years you had all these people saying 'hes done, finished etc' , hes proven them completely wrong already with this.
