I def agree with the producers and longevity part. I think she only works with Finneas and Finneas only works with her. SHe's gonna need some more versatility to last long. Plus, this whole glorifying depressed image can only go so far. A new freaky girl can come in 2 or 3 years and easily take her spot.

I wouldn't call it anywhere near delusional. She's 12 years into ehr career with another #1 album, but it's never good to lose 200k albums sales in just a week. She lost nearly 2/3 that fast.

But it's nothing new, it happens with a lot of artists, most actually. The first week sales is super high and then it plummets from there. Most have a drop off like she did and then stay there consistently. For the next few months before really falling off.

And yes she did have a #1 song and another #1 album this era, which is amazing this far into her career and at her age (34 i think, 35 is when radio starts to cut off female pop acts). But, she's not a huge force like she used to be and it's okay.

It's actually normal lol. No artist spends forever at the top.

how do you think that would sound? I've heard rumours of it, but Adele has no features in any of her songs, so I'm interested to see how her first feature would go. I thought she would go with Drake as a rapper, and if not Drake than Sam Smith since he's known as a white singer singer too. Kind of similar niches there.

Savage, Blinding Lights, and (unfortunately) Say So are all holding up extremely well compared to recent #1s and top tens that have been falling after debuting so high. I hope more songs hve similar success. Too many of these songs have been dropping like it's hot too often, though it could just be an effect of the current climate in mainstream music.

Trying to predict sales and charts is fun little hobby. And the statistics and macro/micro trends are interesting for people that like that stuff.

People talk about box office for movies all the damn time and it doesn't have this stigma that it does for music. They even play in fantasy leagues based on box office
