Why isn't it fair? The chart is a reflexion of what most people are listening to throughout various outlets. If most people are listening to Christmas songs this week, then those Christmas songs should be on the charts

Yep, the Hot100 features the most successful songs during the week, for longevity stats you have the year-end charts.

I just read your post again, and I agree with you on the fact that a lot of popular songs will have to leave the chart. Basically everything that is not top 25 or 20 without the Christmas songs will go recurrent. That’s not fair and Billboard really has to do something about it.

they should make an exception for songs forced to go recurrent due to christmas songs
