To be honest, I didn't get anything from Midsommar. No thrills, no horror, no comedy-it was a little uncomfortable in some scenes but overall, nothing. There was barely any tension and it was incredibly anticlimactic. What was the point of the oracle character? Was I supposed to be scared of the disabled person? The movie was pointless/ incredibly predictable. There's no struggle at all, you just watch it happen and the characters act like idiots and let it happen and there's no tension because it's obvious the entire time what will happen. None of the characters acted realistically and questioned whether the cult was f***ing crazy ( they didnt even noticed people were disappearing like seriously wtf). The main characters didnt even try to escape once.

Midsommar has really good cinematography but it didn't do it for me

Wasn't even scary I was just appalled by everything

It had a good creepy vibe and some tension but it led up to nothing

Overall it's a really simple story about people being killed or brainwashed into a f***ed up cult there's nothing going for the story itself

What makes the movie is the directing it's like an art piece maybe

Ill be honest, I came in expecting a Hereditary-level like movie and came out disappointed as f***.

It's hard for me to give movies 1/10 unless they're awful but there are some awful movies

The trailer didnt help either. Made the movie seem INCREDIBLY more suspenseful than it really was.

I was at the movies and I saw a trailer that looked cool but it was like 5 minutes long and they put the whole plot of the movie in there
