still, seeing the techniques niggas used back in the day to boost up their number was crazy to read. apparently sales back then were counted by how many copies were shipped out to retailers and not how many were actually sold to costumers. so if they wanted to play the system they just had to make a deal w the retailers to keep every copy of an album after its max refund date to count on the billboard chart even though theyd still refund them totally
