true but Rakim was pretty much the inventor of multi syllable rhyming. and one of the first rappers to not just yell everything.
without him all these rappers would be yelling nursery rhymes like Run DMC

but its hard to compare influence with such a big time difference. theyre a whole different generation

I will admit the album did somewhat disappoint me but that's because he took off the old songs we heard snippets of and put other old songs on it. it's a mess. I'm happy to have the og version now
