The reason Universal Basic Income is going to be absolutely necessary in the future is because automation is getting more advanced at a rapid rate which is displacing many jobs and making the economic disparity even larger because all the money is going to companies like Amazon and Google which pay $0 dollars in taxes after making billons of dollars.

Universal Basic Income would be implemented by putting a VAT (Value Added Tax) on certain goods and certain technological advancements that would provide a bulk of the UBI.

A VAT tax is already implemented in every 1st world country in the world besides American and if we implemented it at half the European level we could pay for Universal Basic Income.

Think of it like this. Reagan wanted a "trickle down" economy. This s*** never works because rich people just find ways to avoid taxes and s*** like that, but what we need is a "Trickle UP" economy. Where we take a slice off the top of these billion dollar companies and disperse the money directly into the hands of the American people.

I would support UBI if the system of America is fixed first.

We need an entirely new infastructure before making that a standard because alot of systems don't work because of Govt. Incompetence and corruption

He's running for president right now, he's in 4th place nationally and his main flagshop policy is Universal Basic Income which would mean $1000 a month to every American citizen over the age of 18.
Now I know what you're thinking, 1. that's f***ing insane 2. that would never work, BUT what if I told you it was entirely possible?

If you're interested in learning more about this just watch this interview

Exactly! The idea is that through technological advancement life should be getting EASIER for humans, not harder. We should be embracing the fact that technology is going to make it possible for us to one day not have to work as long of weeks and actually use time to do things in life that actually matter, like spending time with loved ones and stuff.

If we don't implement a Universal Basic Income then technological advancements will be the downfall of society because robots are going to take all the jobs and all the rich tech companies are going to suck the money out of the middle class.

Think industrial revolution but a million times worse and a million times more violent if we don't do anything about it.

It's literally the future of the world. UBI is inevitable it's just a matter of how fast we can convince the average American that this is actually something possible that we can do.

It would also stack on top of Medicaid and Social Security.
