this is stream of consciousness ranting s*** so don't mind
Been exercising the hell out of my vibrato. Debating on whether to use hammer vibrato influence or just 100% laryngeal vibrato
I already freak it with the Frank inspired delivery but Idk if I want it more soulful and lowkey (100% laryngeal) or a lil more poppy and "grand" (a lil hammer)
Have to be honest, i didn't even think of alt's on here by the creator of the site.

I'm up here getting my Frank Ocean on and you niggas in here talkin bout sending d*** pics to minors
Bruh
Anyway...
There's only so much I can do with my low range (p sure I'm a baritone but I just might be a bass, doesn't matter tbh I know my range)
I can go from E2 to E4 (plus a few semitones), which is pretty low. But in this era of Drake/Travis/every melodic rapper, I should be able to make some great vocal melodies that females and males wanna sing along to. And if it's THAT serious, I can go a lil high in my upper 3/lower 4 range
It's all semantics if you've got the skills ingrained like the natural vocalists, but hey...I'm blessed to be naturally skilled (from singing at 4 and 5 years old) and I know the techniques from a technical standpoint so it only helps
Great delivery is so much more about personality than skill tho
Singers don't realize that cause they wanna hide behind their "good singing". But delivery >>>>> every time.

This why Johnny Cash covers outshine alot of the originals.
He was damn near dead, smoked his lungs away and yet his delivery puts the OG songs to shame.

Johnny Cash tho...it's all the regret but appreciation and sorrow of living a full life and you really feel it (even if you haven't experienced it).

It had to be scary hearing Johnny covered your song.
"Damn so it ain't mine no more huh?"

Johnny's covers all were helped by his personality and life.
Hurt came after June died and towards the end literally. It truly is a man at the end of the line regretting how he treated his wife and lived his life.
Sunshine feels like a grandpa singing to a baby.
Personal Jesus goes from a s***song to an actual gospel anthem. Like you on your death bed and he's tryna convert you before you pass.
