Yeah Transformers was never huge on substance but there's one big difference between bayformers and of transformers

You know the og animated transformers? There's this iconic scene where optimus dies (which was to move onto a new toy line of characters) but that s*** was mass hysteria in America in the 80s for children...like FR fr, that s*** makes grown ass adults cry to this day

Bayformers never showcased that type of emotion with the bots (cause bay doesnt allow for genuine emotion like that)

Dawg you removing context tho it wasn't some deep moment meant to move folks for artistic reasons it was done cause they need to launch a new Transformers line

That s*** made kids cry cause they brutally murders multiple machines in a kids film for the sake of profit

S*** was horrible storytelling based on money needs not art.

The moment bumblebee exposes himself to the CIA to save Sam and is captured then tortured and Sam screams and begs them to let him go is an actual story choice and 10x emotional at 2:19

This scene unlike the one you mentioned wasnt done to sell a new line of toys either
