As someone who recently got MK11 Ultimate, I'm really enjoying it. I love playing with friends irl and the single player content.
I knew fighting games are too predatory with the price of the cosmetics and other cool things, that's why I didn't go for 1. Will wait for 1 Ultimate or whatever they decide to name it.
I'm not THAT much into fighting games and love the gore and flashy stuff of this so didn't go for Tekken or SF.

Made the right choice. Don't get sucked into hype and take advantage of deals

Combos are long and repetitive in mk1. Plus it just doesn't have that style of mk10

Oh yeah I know I been watching gameplay cant wait to play it. but Internally at NRS they were very cocky they would be better than SF6 and Tekken . I kept telling them they were arrogant so although I am not there anymore this hilarious to me
