    Medians just ranking every value and seeing what's at the middle(50th percentile) so I'd assume it means that at least 50 percent of black folk will be making absolutely nothing income wise

    Nah it's just the middle in an ordered list. If you had 99 people making 0 dollars and 1 making 100000 the median of that group would still be 0
