Yeah this mixtape is widely regarded as one of the best datpiff tapes ever and I would say it's called the best cloud rap mixtape equally as often as liveloveasap is

His next projects went into hip hop noise fusion with a lot of psychedelia, oblivion access is like a studio album version of this MTI tape, then he got into more experimental indie/alt/idk type sounds that are real unique (I can only compare it to eels, soul coughing, and vano3000)

Outside of the lil ugly mane name he has various other projects well worth checking out, I think bedwetter is the best emo rap project ever but it's not really like juice or peep, more like man on the moon if Cudi was a severe alcoholic with psychosis

  • crazy how we almost 2 decades removed from the genesis of ug rap

  • ish

Nah, OA and Volcanic clears tbh

Idk why I didn't think to post, or no one else has

Obviously not his best work, but is still arguably the peak of cloud rap

    “Obviously not his best work”

Listen to everything he released after lol

Volcanic bird enemy is the only release that in my top 10 of all time, but I (and a lot of others) view the 3 sided tapes as one of the best noise projects ever, and oblivion access is also extremely good. Bedwetter isn't lum but that tape is incredible

I love MTI to death, as I said multiple times. But it's not remotely as polished or creative as his later work. He also released uneven compromise after mti which I think many forget

Sometimes the best ones arent the most popular ones

Uneven Compromise is amazing, though I wouldn’t consider it an album. Just a 10 minute standalone track
