Not marrying and not having children doesn’t mean you’ll be alone after 65, specially if you had a successful life.

Are you saying that one of the benefits of marrying a woman is that they do housework even if they work full time? Because even if i were to change my mind and decide to marry I wouldn’t want my wife to work full time AND do more housework than me.

No kids involved, so no nannies. The housekeeper thing is in case you don’t want to do the housework for whatever reason. Again, it’s way less housework if you live by yourself.

Compare wanting to have a kid because you want to be happy, versus not feeling that you need to have a kid (or marry) to be happy. That’s why i think it’s sad. Like, I’d be down to adopt a kid if i could provide for them, but if i do, i would do it because i want to help, not because i want to be “happy” or have a purpose. Happiness can definitely be a result of having/adopting kids, but that doesn’t mean that that should be the reason people want to have them.

Now, if I couldn’t afford to adopt a child or i was rejected for whatever reason, then that’s fine because I wouldn’t be doing it for the sake of my happiness.
