give me some sort of idea of what the redacted was, or link
Apparently called him an F word in that part of the show where he was screaming at the iPhone
I posted a forum post where I got it from but there’s no extra link to it
Thank God lol
Let that album flop, Ye did this to himself. That s*** was ready to go 2 weeks ago
It’s Kanye so it really is a toss up
He really could just say f*** it and scrap the whole think and not even blink
Bro imagine all these artists making the trip to Atlanta and Ye's team working on the album for months Mike Dean everyone doing sleepless lights only for it to be scrapped imagine how angry that'd make ya

Fax bro like I criticize some artists but I don’t just discredit them or say somebody else made them lol that’s some real hater ass s***
this the biggest cap on this thread.
How was the album? Couldn't check the stream
Without spoiling anything I’d say it’s well worth checking out in its current form!
as an engineer myself i can understand this lowkey lol
most engineers (mike included) are artists too. Outside of a studio, we're on a (somewhat) level field with the people we record. In the studio tho, we're subordinate to the recording artist. we can make suggestions, but the dude in the booth is our boss for the duration of the session, pretty much. and that atmosphere definitely continues with editing and touching up post-recording. as corny as it sounds we definitely dont get enough respect lol.
I'd assume working w a guy like Kanye who expects the best from everyone had to be pretty stressful, especially considering the fact that most people don't really understand what engineering entails, and how difficult some things may be. Just asking us to "make it sound better" is a monumental task. We can get rid of obvious problems just fine, but it's kanye we're talking about, I'm sure whatever producers he's using and equipment he's got avoids any obvious issues (even though there are some crazy sub vs bass mixing moments in the livestreams that must have been hell to engineer). past that point tho, it's all personal stuff. when it comes to specifics, the "best" sound is a very personal thing, different people will give you different answers.
the donda process has seemed absurdly drawn out, im sure many questionable decisions have been made. it really seems like mike has been handed a subpar product and been told to make it stellar, but while bad mixing can break a song, good mixing alone can't make a song.
stupid large post but idc, if u didn't read just ignore

How would anyone know what he said during that part of the show tho

Damn that's harsh.
Producers/engineers are already stressed out on the job as is, so hearing negativity like that more than once can definitely strain the working process and create a split.
At least it wasn't on some Atlanta s***.
