I said it earlier itt but this looks to be a repeat of the ps3/Xbox 360/wii generation with a couple differences

• ps3/ps5 both have little to care about out of the gate. at least ps5 isn’t as bad as the ps3 out of the gate but it doesn’t feel necessary to buy yet
• xbox 360/series x both came out of the gate swinging but it looks like the series x is trying it’s best to dominate gaming as a whole instead of the 360 focusing on the casual crowd
• wii/switch were both unique wildcards that were incredibly successful but the switch had better exclusives

Game pass is losing a lot of money enjoy it while it lasts. Microsoft will eventually raise the prices and before you know it you’re paying $50 a month for it. That’s Microsoft’s long term plan

You think this will actually push Sony to bring back socom or resistance? I’m hoping so but I feel like they’ll come out with a gamepass alternative and be like “yep this should make us about even”

the difference is that Microsoft is acquiring whole publishers and Sony is only purchasing developers

Wonder if this will push them to do something cool for once this new generation

idk what Microsoft has outside of halo, forza, some Bethesda studios, and activision ip but I’m interested to see what happens mid generation

at least a publisher was already making similiar games

sony buying unique developers and having them all make the same cinematic third person narrative AD NASUEM

neither of these things are bad especially with Microsoft’s plans. the only thing I’m saying is that Sony focuses on talent (developers) and Microsoft focuses on IP (publishers)
