I swear the constant obsession on graphical fidelity will be the end of this industry, reading what arcade goon posted if activision whos worth all that had a hard time releasing a single game per year its f***ing stupid they keep chasing this level of fidelity. Id blame most cases of crunch on it too. Hell game development has gotten longer and more expensive, and companies have to push microtransactions to make up costs cause a full price game that's gonna get discounted in 3 months isnt gonna pay back the budget.
I also noticed that insomniac, which is the most prolific sony studio, latest games were shorter, probably to combat some of these issues (although they got some serious issues of sexual harassment but thats another story).
Idk how much this is sustainable tbh

I dont have time now to look into a 2021 a***ysis on the videogame market in china, but this has some useful information too (and also on other parts of the world that dont get talked about much in this industry like india and the middle east)

I do wanna cop a Series X later this year, but thats because I want Starfield. And I'm hype for whenever a new Fable drops.

But FPS games haven't interested me in a really long time so this news doesn't effect me at all.
Overall Sony is more of the company for me mainly because of their focus on single player games.

But imma def cop an Xbox hopefully by this December
