AbyssEven though Sony doesn’t have bread like MS, they should be able afford mid-sized developers like FromSoft or Atlus (not that i want that happen but i can see Sony reacting in that way to this)
I’m an Xbox fan but if they wanted to go in for the kill they could just buy Rockstar. That’d be a pretty major blow for Xbox but prob also good in the long run as it’d mean Sony could help them course correct back into consistently making great single player games again.
I’d buy a PS5 for GTA 6 if it wasn’t gonna have an unbalanced MP full of microtransactions and get single player expansions post launch like was originally planned for V

why do you think current Rockstar WANTS to make great single player games. The data is there and the amount of money they've made off of one game is unprecedented.
Every game they release now will have a huge online component that will always take away from the single player.
So much content I've never even seen in GTA because it's in the online. They just released a story DLC for online with playable Lamar.

They can use gamepass with zombies, remasters and spin-offs but other than that CoD has been the #1 selling game on Playstation for years, it makes no sense to pull away that. You’re literally making money from your competitors playerbase, you’re doing less work now
i could see them firing and hiring another development team down the road but rn some of these predictions sound delusional. CoD was also dead on PC until crossplay was introduced
