ngl i got my ps5 2 weeks ago and ive had my series x since june and i already know my ps5 will only be for sony exclusives, literally no reason to get third party games on it with game pass and now this

ARM acquisition is a big deal because it can stifle innovation from the competition. ARM currently is neutral in that it gives general licensing to anyone that wants to purchase a license. With Nvidia purchase there’s the possibility of increasing pricing on competitors where they no longer can use the architecture and it screws up their whole R&D vision for years to come. Apple’s M1 chip is based off this architecture, so Nvidia getting a hold of this could lead to nefarious acts and could be really damaging to Apple for example.

This is not like that case at all. Especially because of the way Activision games are Microsoft would only be hurting themselves by removing them from other platforms. They’re not worth making exclusive in this case, and even so if they were how does that stifle innovation from competitors in this space?
