But it increases the companies share price.

A user on a subscription model is valued at 3x more than a user that owns a license, it used to be a lot higher than that though.

Used game market was devaluing games for first party but not for gamestop so it was a cycle . I see both sides on this but get you. Its not like they are taking away the option to buy a game though

When Last of Us drops a 70$ remake or 60$ dogshit pc port how is that valuing games or helping gamers make games accesible to them on their current console? same as limited backwards compatibility then selling users the same game again in the form of a remake? Subscription isnt universally bad you can still buy the game and we often will. Starfield sales and preorders still booming when someone could get it for 10$ they give choice so I am confused on why that is terrible
