Honestly tho the way MS turned the tide mainly with 2 major publisher purchase + the accessibility & current affordability of Game Pass is insane

2023 & beyond is going to be an insane run for them.

I honestly don't know what the future holds for all these publishers & even console makers.

20yrs down the road for if most of these companies get consolidated/monopolized, I hope it's the companies that actually knows & gives somewhat of a f*** about gaming & its consumer. (MS, Sony & Nintendo).

And not some random company like Disney/Apple/Amazon/Google/Meta that's strictly going to vulture in and likely ruin it.

They definitely seem to be on pace to “win” this generation if you wanna compare them to the other companies. Can’t think of really a single thing Sony has done since the ps5 release that made me think “damn thats a smart move.”

Do you think ps5 will still sell more actual systems since gamepass is also on pc? Xbox winning without needing to outsell consoles is a huge W. Feeling like the 360 era levels of Xbox hype rn.

They would have ruined each & every franchise even worse than Activision did themselves on god lmao

Call of duty x battlefield would be announced

  • Jan 21, 2022

“ how can you say this is good for gaming “

    • treyarch , raven , sledgehammer, infinity ward can do more than be call of duty sweatshops
    • company culture will be addressed and looks like Bobby kotick out
    • revive old ips
    • bring old games to game pass
    • use Xbox tech and specs to make good call of duty games every few years
-significantly better than ea, Facebook , Tencent buying and activision was shopping it around
    • phil Spencer has not only started studios but any time he collaborated or acquired has lead to better games
    • all new games on game pass
-still coming to pc or you could get a series s for cheap if you want games
    • cross play
    • cross buy
    • game progression may carry over
    • quicker updates and longer support/ listening to fan feedback

Im mainly a PC gamer with a PS4 Pro + Switch Lite at the moment.

Although I'm not fully invested in Xbox's ecosystems or their IPs as much as I am Sony's or Nintendo's, each major acquisition makes their lineup undeniable day by day.

I'm def gonna get ES6, Starfield & Diablo 4 & whatever Arkane/Tango & Double Fine drops on PC.

I think if we're talking purely console sales, I think Sony will still outsell this gen (not sure bout next-gen), but when you account for GamePass + Xbox Console Sales, I think it will reach around the same amount of units + profits.

I think next-gen is when the difference will truly show between Sony & MS. Sony has A LOT of work to do to catch up to MS service wise.

They need Spartacus to be appealing/functional/accessible/affordable, Practical Backwards Compat for PS3, Cloud Gaming, QoL features such as VRR, Quick Resume, ALLM, etc.

I'm not sure if Sony will be able to accomplish that + snagging enough studios/pubs to have the quality & quantity.

Next gen launch but also rest of this gen but next gen Xbox launch may be the strongest launch in gaming history based on acquisitions and gamepass

I didn't say next-gen launch, but next-gen as a whole MS is likely going to dominate with sheer quantity of quality titles + their services.

I think late-current gen we'll really start to see their output go way up.

Oh didn’t know you were considering ps5 and series next gen

The best thing for Sony right now is either to really invest and ramp up acquiring more studios to further increase their first party output or let Game Pass on their consoles(which i highly doubt Sony will allow).

Sony has the console game on lock, but the future will be platform agnostic. They better catch up fast or they'll end up like Sega.
