Call me crazy but I don’t know if Tourette’s is as legit as people make it out to be. Oh you have a condition where you hurl racial slurs and say mean things? Maybe you weren’t raised right

Dumbass
apparently the reason BBC used for not cutting the segment was that they didn't hear the n word ?? 😭

People really think Tourette is just the Cartman episode from South Park
South Park actually gave a good take on the disease and were sympathetic to it.

exactly, this is why a basic apology is necessary
he can't help it, and i feel sorry for him, but i feel equally sorry for the black people in attendance who had to hear that word and basically be told to put up with it
Not sure if this clip has been posted, but apparently the guy talked about accidental tics of slurs in an interview a few months ago.
I posted a clip from the episode yesterday. If you haven’t seen it don’t comment
And what's real hilarious is that form of Tourettes doesn't automatically make you shoutout slurs.
Whether people like to accept it or not, that s*** is definitely learned. Now whether it was intentionally taught to him, or it's something he picked up from the environment or people he grew up around, is another story.
But I'm pretty sick of this s***ty excuse I'm seeing of "Hey guys it's Tourette's cut him slack" when there's s*** he himself could've done to prevent/avoid it, along with s*** BAFTA could've done to prevent it or at least clean it up.
BAFTA more concerned with censoring calls for a free Palestine, but can't be bothered to edit around two Black men getting called nlgger and having their moment completely shat on.
Open to being educated
He CAN'T control what he says its literally like having someone in your own body forcibly making you say s***
Lets not s*** on him for what he CANT control

I saw it a while ago will rewatch

You know what they call cigarettes, they don’t give a hoot
the word is not some obscure thing, it has been a mainstay of various forms of art for literal decades at this point. do you think he is racist is he picked this up from reading to kill a mockingbird in school?
The apology should be private the public is already demonizing him nothing would talk most of the public off their stance
See I really don’t see any benefit from keeping it private
If there’s no awareness that he NEVER apologized that’ll set back people with Tourettes for a long ass time. He’s one of the biggest advocates for the condition and by never putting it out there that no harm was meant in what was said, it just leaves people to infer that he doesn’t feel remorseful at all. Of course that’ll be invalidated if MBJ or Lindo come out and say an apology was given, they’re good, etc.
