earthwalkawell the larger discussion really has nothing to do with Davidson because the real CRUX of the issue is the reality that are so few things you could say to a white person that could be even on par what calling a black person the n word which is the discussion I think is trying to be had underneath all of this.
it's hard for me to sort of it think about this in words but there is something to be said about the fact that offensive language towards white people is simply just "fuck you" or something but for black people it's worse and that has nothing to do with Tourettes syndrome or Davidson as a person and what he actually thinks about black people.

because i think it reveals something so dark and seedy and unequal about all of this. it's unbelievably unfair. U can't say s*** to a white person (that you don't know and if you don't know their ethnicity) that would truly HURT.
Even with Tourettes syndrome, there are limits to what your mind can conceive of what to say to a white person!! That's the part that gets me!

the only observation i was trying to make is that racism is learned but also racism in scotland with very few black people in the late 1900s is crazy
