not just people here/online but a breakdown might have others and be a guideline reference point people with tourette's can show people

isnt his movie about the condition, its 2026 there plenty of avenues for people to educate themselves on a condition if they care to

    care to being key wording

The internet that wants an apology from what I see openly saying many incorrect fallacies about the condition even with access to Google , ai , his biopic and more does not care about Tourette’s man . They want the apology a breakdown isn’t what they care about many of them see Tourette’s as an excuse or indicate it isn’t real

he called one of the women accepting the award on stage boring and telling her to shut the f*** up iirc, not calling her b**** or anything like that

just curious he didnt have the same energy for white male winners

Bro probably wishes he had something for the white guys, his Tourette’s on demon mode

    1. It’s none of business
    2. Having him apologize to each and every black person he interacted with or offended would be difficult . It’s saying he was having tics throughout the entire show including pre show . We know about during the specific award but it’s now being said by production designer it occurred after that too . So it would just be written letters to those people or a public apology through or typed that many wouldn’t react well to
    3. Baftas owe an apology to all parties involved
    4. Alan Cummings owes an apology for not articulating better and pre show warning could have been better
    5. Public is too involved

Having him apologize to each and every black person he interacted with or offended would be difficult - just a breakdown any form letter video interview would be enough i think its worse him not apologising publicly than not (if he's actually sorry)

  • ive no interest in seeing that movie just seems like one of those autists are real ppl too movies but for tourettes to make able bodied ppl feel better about themselves

A movie about showing awareness towards Tourette's and how they can't control what they are saying and have to swear they not doing it on purpose. Basically the whole discourse itt and how ignorant people can't understand how Tourette's is a real life nightmare in public

Having disability does not disable the possibility that people are (rightfully) gonna look at you an a******

ESPECIALLY if you (only in the case of ye cause my dawg gotta implement him in every conversation) have the resources and tools to better get a grip on it? And dont?

Yeah, niggas gonna look at you and recognize the destabilization of your mental illness and the severity of what it can be like….and still feel like “bro you an a******

This why I take a break from the thread.

Palestine excluded (cause folks really need help over there/Yahu should go die in a ditch)

You have this notion due to a situation a LOT of humans are not experienced in, nor are we trained in, nor are we emotionally capable of, that everyone else should automatically be capable of the same humongous levels
    of empathy that you are.

What if some people chose to not work in that field with folks of certain disabilities out of empathy of knowing (because of their own traumas) how they’ll react to being called harsh words or being physically assaulted wont have the inner voice of “oh bro chill out you know they dont mean that” in it?

And (for the umpteenth time) you are expecting people to feel positive emotions over a man that has (himself) was being ableist against someone’s children, dissing historically traumatic events, and bigging up abusers and possibly triggering those survivors constantly using images of some of the most violent abuse, to not want to wish ill on him? Is once again being hella dismissive fam.

I am not saying everyone should work in the field . I am I am disappointed in humanity and frustrated. The lack of worldwide empathy and understanding for ME has made life feel like Hell . That’s based on my mental and what I deal with . Nothing I said in that post was offensive or demanded others feel the way I do . The main thing I’ve said in this thread is some incorrect information is being said about the condition itself and take the time to research stop spreading that misinformation.

The final paragraph you are retreading I already said ye edgy , avoided medicine and accountability multiple times bipolar autistic or not . You are misunderstanding what I’m saying

yh but its a hot topic right now a response will be people understanding it now in this context when they thinking bout it the average person not gonna care to research this stuff (as seen in this thread)

I am saying in regards to what he types in an apology. You need to pause your reaction and read the context of what I am saying because I am not in the mood . In an apology people are not trying to hear a break down of his condition THEY DO NOT CARE.

Accommodations of a private room as you said with his family and friends with a live taping that defeats much of the point of him being there . This was to see if he could be in public some and be accepted . I’ve seen the duration of the thread . Those that want him to make an public written apology if there is paragraph breakdown of the condition they are skipping that paragraph

I don’t know how an accommodation so a clip and situation like this doesn’t exist being afforded to him and his family/team defeats the purpose of him being there

you can still acknowledge awareness of the condition while empathizing that there are multiple accommodations that need to be made for multiple groups where full outright inclusivity is the deterrent and going out the way to create a private space is in no way a knock on his condition, but a respect to the everyone in the best way possible while still acknowledging the condition exists and avoiding this embarrassing moment for MBJ, Delroy and himself

just leaving it at that”he has to be there or else it defeats the purpose” is just forcing this exact circumstance and misaligned inclusiveness to occur

Apologizing video or text wouldn’t accomplish much because text people will question if he wrote it and video obvious risk of tics . Maybe many takes idk . Cancelling a person with a disability feels redundant

yh not sure i do feel a apology is worth doing tho as it was such a public controversial thing to happen - yh u right video/interview would be the worst he would probably instantly ticc alot straight after the apology saying he didnt mean it i think written is better his book shows he can clearly write it and make it easy to understand its whether people will but that's not on him thinking bout it more it is a bit of a techy thing for him actually all the fake ass celeb notes apologies mean a real written one from someone with tourrettes means nothing to the public atp

Guys, I think acknowledging that tourettes exists and also that this was dehumanising as f*** can both be true at the same time. If you don't know how it works you can just look it up. There is no reason to be this ignorant in 2026

Him being there was the point . Best way to handle it without dehumanizing him or risking him dehumanizing others is a tough discussion it’s done now

Putting him in a live taping room , only bringing him up for his award . Sound proofing a box he was in ( again borders on dehumanizing) . I don’t know there isn’t much of a point of doing what ifs and this likely the only award show someone with that level of Tourette’s will ever be at in our lifetime
