Saw it last night and I thought it was great

There was a lot more narrative and intimate moments than I expected after hearing the criticism but it still in a lot of ways felt just like a highlight reel of iconic performances, kind of a missed opportunity to really tell his story

but at the same time how much did anybody really know about him on a deeply personal level from his early childhood - the late 80s? or ever? idk but I hope there's a sequel

nonetheless it moved me. Smiling ear to ear at just how f***ing cool he looked and how he moved. Jaafar absolutely snapped

I think it does a good way to show the human being.

American Dream is such a great movie to me. That’s a black classic. The kids that played Michael in that were gold imo but Jaafar really blew them out of the water, maybe except Jason Weaver for the younger mike in this movie.
