The China fans are so great at organising things for MJ. I think it was their push that made sure this came out at the same time as it did internationally.

Yeaaah… which is a shame because i felt the jackson family finally had something to rally and come together with for once

I mean it's still going to be super popular and make a ton of money but it'll definitely lower excitement for the sequel

I'm not a Michael superfan or anything but I do like his music and acknowledge and appreciate him as the most popular non-religious or political figure in human history so it's just a little jarring and offputting that his biopic feels pretty lame

Journalists who spent 30+ years building and profiting off a character are upset a major piece of media goes against that. So many of those moaning were never going to give it a fair shot.

The reviews from real people are still holding up, by all accounts there are some fantastic performances by the cast even if the film is basic in approach

All the right people are getting upset by this film and answers like this, and it's brilliant

It's not about journalists anymore, it's about the general public now

My view is that people wanted an MJ movie to feel monumental and this just feels really bland

The general reaction has been incredibly positive and that word of mouth will see it break records

As predicted, still expect the critics working for major papers (especially those in the Penske group) to give it a bad rating but it will be a hit with the crowds
