The rumour is that it ends with the Bad Tour in Wembley 1988, but the trailer definitely features footage of the Bad Tour LA 1989 performance.

Either way it'd be somewhere around late 'Bad'.

This is still mind blowing to me. It just looks exactly like him.

I think the only criticism of this movie is gonna be that it’s too short.

If it really stops at Bad era, there’s literally an entire 2nd part of his life post-Bad (91- 2009) that needs to be covered. They wouldn’t even have to do every single moment. Just they key ones:

91 - Dangerous/breaking away from Quincy
93 - The allegations and showing what he REALLY went through
2009 - This Is It

An MJ story without these 3 components would feel incomplete.

The story is the second film will cover those things, which is why this film is being promoted as the "becoming a king" angle.

We know they filmed the Neverland raid in 1993 + I'm pretty sure they filmed in the house MJ died in.

If the first film is a success (which so far everything looks like it could be) the second film's announcement won't be far behind.
