Will be hilarious if "The Jacksons:An American Dream" still ends up as the definitive MJ biopic after all this.
Jamal R. Henderson plays Jermaine Jackson in his later years, while Jayden Harville plays the younger version.
Tre Horton and Jaylen Lyndon Hunter share the role of Marlon Jackson
Rhyan Hill and Judah Edwards are Tito
Joseph David-Jones and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre play the elder and younger versions of Jackie Jackson, respectively

It will. I love Antoine but this won’t be it
Baz did Elvis now everyone is seeing green. F*** Hollywood.
bad idea

Nope. Great idea 👍
Actually it probably will work but it's a ballsy move for sure. I would rather not open up that discourse again

It needs to be covered. And if covered properly, it’ll make a lot of things very obvious to the uninformed

If the film is trash thoo.... 😬

Oh, absolutely - that’s a risk. I guess the hope is with the budget and people involved it should at least be respectable.
Every acting performance of MJ comes off as parody because of what a unique and off the wall character MJ was
This sounds like it could be an absolute trainwreck

Isn’t the Jackson estate backing this movie?

I think having someone from his family will help sell the performance. Hopefully Jaafar has similar mannerisms and a close voice to Michael so it could be the most accurate portrayal we've seen. I'd prefer Bigi but if he doesn't want to or the producers think he's too young Jaafar is the next best thing

Matt Beloni had written a hit piece claiming he’s seen the script and it “aggressively” portrays MJ as innocent.
He also claimed the budget is now 155m.
The tweet got ratio’d.. hardcore. Lots of people saying the courts 14 verdicts aggressively showed MJ was innocent etc.
Other news platforms shared the article and have been Community Noted with links showing MJs innocence.
Very interesting misfire at spinning a narrative. Lots of backlash
