read Heat 2 last year and it was amazing. just as gritty, powerful, and entertaining a story as Heat. the whole time I was thinking how dope it will be if Mann makes the movie

I think the novel was always a proof of concept for the movie adaptation. Interesting question is if they recast the present day Chris or is Val up to it?

They’re gonna have to use a lot of de-aging if Pacino is in. I liked the book but the actual sequel stuff with Val Kilmer character wasn’t that good. The prequel stuff with Pacino and deniro was pretty awesome
