You don't know what I meant by that: The Beatles put out 8+ classics in a row, one by one, year after year. Then continued to put out classics as solo acts. Those weren't covers either. In fact covers were a very small portion of their discog and don't compare to the amount of original Beatles songs that have been covered by other acts since.
