This movie reignited my MJ obsession, and this time around I’ve found myself understanding him a bit more than when I was 10. Mostly because I know people with vitiligo now, and have seen what just 7 years of it can do. He made the decision to make it kinda uniform all over, but he was always going to end up looking like that.
Idk why, but I had been lumping the skin lightening in with the other plastic surgeries in a way that just wasn’t fair to him considering how transformative that disease is. Like subconsciously, based purely on the skin, I would look at his thriller and Bad looks as being more “MJ” than in the 90s and 00s era, when really it’s just the same nigga.
he has no reason for being this real
did you know about this 1974 Bob Fosse movie The Snake
I saw some rhetoric online about how MJ “stole” this guys moves. I’m sure this guy is trailblazer but Look at how sauceless these moves are.

MJ thought they were pure sauce
I really wish i was old enough to see him at his absolute peak man it must've been incredible to witness. When i was a kid he was always thought of as a creepy old pedo to the point i dont think i realized how revered he was as a musician until he died

I grew up when the "Wacko Jacko" tabloid headlines had firmly taken root in the media, so it was a mixture of seeing the photos of him leaving court, and also the TV playing his peak material, even this lil movie he did back then I forgot the name lol
stop showing off at the goat's expense
I posted that cause I've been refusing people's recommendations to watch All That Jazz for decades cause Im not a musicals guy. I owe Fosse an apology cause I wasnt really familiar with his game
thought he was just some musicals director not an actual elite dancer himself.
Even KingOfPop didn't get defensive about it so stop it.

I'm old enough that when Free Willy came out I remember telling my uncle that I liked MJs song Will You Be There and his response was "you know he's a pedophile, right"
No, uncle, I barely even know what that is
