Rewatching creed 2 before tonight
its so solid actually
i remember (like many of us im sure) thinking that Cooglers absence was really felt and that it was a bit boring in comparison to the first
but its so good.
My grandma gonna wait to see this cause she doesn’t go to theaters anymore, my friends aren’t down and the cousins I have in town are probably gonna be too hungover to catch a matinee and they all busy during the day/night I might catch this solo
I did it for the 2nd one but damn

About an hour in and completely agree, I don’t think it’s as good as the first but it really didn’t have to be, it’s still really good and the pacing and boxing scenes are tense. Rocky has a great sendoff and the matchup doesn’t feel forced at all. I think the Creed trilogy will go down as something special, the quality remains consistent

You good fam I got two hours till the 3rd
Michael b Jordan hilariously bad and corny in this, but what a great movie
Like actively soap opera level, why did such bad takes get chosen, I know there were better ones
This needed more everything cuz it was pretty well done tho
More fights and def more dame
The visual storytelling was so good during the fights that it needed more of it to fill the holes left by the super workhorse plotting

How’s the cinematography?
Just finished for me
Honestly.. might be on par with the first Creed movie. Fight scenes were PHENOMENAL, there’s one particular moment that stood out and was extremely tense. Incredible debut by MBJ, it didn’t look poorly made or anything, actually reminded me a lot of Coogler (not that that’s any surprise), Jonathan Majors was the highlight of this film, no doubt about it. And MBJ in this reminded me a lot of Rocky in Rocky IV, I liked seeing how his character progressed since the last one. I think by having the strong foundation of 1&2 allowed this one to be as strong as it is. If I had to score it it’d be like a 9/10
any anime fans see this yet? need to know how "anime" it really is.
Not particularly a big anime fan but there’s shots in this during the fight scenes that really stand out and very much felt inspired, it was great tbh
Only criticism I really got is that the score is a severe downgrade from the previous two, it wasn’t awful but it didn’t come close to creating the same atmosphere Ludwig Göransson’s scores did

Trilogy? There won't be three more of these?

Does Majors get enough screentime?
Is this better than creed II
