This loss, as bad as it is, doesn’t worry me at all. We did what we were supposed to do and stole one on the road, same as Boston did with Game 2. A 3-1 lead would’ve been great, but I don’t think anyone actually expected either team to go down 3-1 in this series.

Now it’s a best-of-three and we have home court advantage.

This is playing out very similarly to the second round. Everyone was saying Sixers in 6 after Game 4, because they were “too much for us” and “the better team”. Then we ended that series and the narrative switched to “Embiid was hobbled”, which he was, but he was hurt in every game he played in that series and people still said Sixers in 6 after Game 4.

Now, everyone has been writing us off since Game 2 against Boston.

People are using the quarters argument as if both teams haven’t been up 20+ in both of their wins in this series.

People are saying we don’t have enough offensively to win this series, even though Boston has had two games where they’ve also looked terrible on offense.

People are saying Miami is too hurt to win this, as if Boston hasn’t had players either injured or out in every game so far.

I’ve even seen some people say the Celtics now have the advantage in the series, even though it’s a best-of-three now and we have home court advantage.

Anyone that seriously believes this Miami Heat team is losing three games in a row is delusional. I’m predicting Heat in 6, but I think the Celtics are definitely capable of forcing a 7th game.

Exactly. I think some people are overreacting to it because of how severe the loss was, but the goal for the road team in the playoffs is to always steal one of two, and we did exactly that.

Its a tough one to swallow but you can only rely on role players to take you so far. Guys like Struss, Vincent, and Martin have done their part. Once Herro got injured the offensive threat was severely hampered.

Need to pull a complete 180 and go into Boston shooting 50% from 3 and taking mid season form in order to pull this series out. It’s not impossible with how hot and cold our shooting has been.

2 games in a row of no energy reflects poorly on this entire roster.
