Just took one, managed to beat the twin chozo soldiers but now the shield one that spits is kicking my ass

They REALLY make you use all of your abilities in late game fights. I personally dig it tbh even if it can be overbearing at times

my first metroid game, do people really enjoy having to randomly shoot unmarked walls to find some secret block or is it just a series staple at this point? i’ve gotten stuck a few times running back and forth trying to find some exit i missed.

at best it just feels like lame cheating, like doing one of those spot the difference puzzles and spam clicking everywhere until you get them all

It's a series staple and I agree it sucks ass but the rest of the game usually makes up for those moments

Ngl that s*** do get frustrating, but everything else about Metroid is fire so it even out.
