mr get doughI always loved how drastic Kendrick was able to use emotion within the beef, thats one era where it felt like Drake couldnt keep up he could never match the tone
Like Family Matters perfectly matched the energy of Euphoria, like its disrespectful as hell but the energy of the song is fun because of the beat and funny lines
And then Dot’s like nah f*** that you’re a pedophile I hope you die
So you can tell Drake was like oh okay we’re serious now and thats probably when he started The Heart Part 6

he definitely controlled the pace and mood of the battle more than Drake could, i think a big issue w/ Drake is how monotone and flat his rapping was for his disses while Kendrick’s was a lot more dynamic and generally passionate, like you really do feel the weight behind his disses
Drake didn’t seem like he was taking Kendrick too serious in between Push-Ups to Family Matters like that at all (save FM 3rd beat) but yeah and it didn’t work out for him

It's a fact that Drake lost but he still showed up to battle and that deserves respect
He more of an emcee to me than Cole, Rocky, Future are
And while we're on the topic: I know we gas up MTG, and rightfully so, but Taylor Made is up there with it as one of the most disrespectful diss tracks ever
Not to take away from Drake because I actually liked his performance in the beef but I really am not a big fan of Taylor Made
It was definitely a good in the moment move but I always felt from day one that song wasnt gonna be beneficial long term
-It relies on its shock value, like i get why hes rapping like snoop and pac but i dont think his rapping during their part was really that great. It was funny but not that impressive lyrically imo
-I don’t really find it that disrespectful like I get Kendrick loves Pac and it was a great way to get under his skin but its not like he knows him lmao , like Kendrick is naming Drakes actual family
-The debate about AI took too much attention away from the song itself, which I would have brought up if I was a fly on the wall.
-It is the worst produced song of their whole back and forth imo
