I’m playing thru mgs one now that I finally figured out how to beat mantis and the whole picking up rifle from all the way back thing might be one of the worst sequences ever put in a video game

Before I hear this dumbass bumass bullshit about short memory span for a long long time I couldn’t beat one of my favorite games ever, quake 2, because of backtracking. It’s one of the worst things in games old and new

When I beat it and got to the torture sequence and survived it twice the guy didn’t see me squeezing ketchup on me and lying down so I went there the third time and died not only in game but also lowkey wanted to kill myself irl too

I’ll never forget watching this showcase as my first intro to the franchise and being amazed at everything especially that you could hide in a dumpster

Add to this to say if they’ll update Snake holding a PS5 controller when you take control of the little Mk. II

Final dove in to this series.
Just beat MGS1 a couple days ago, the game was hard af but the story was really great . There was definitely a handful of times I had to check on YouTube for how to get past certain parts lol

I’m about an hour in to MGS2 now. The graphical jump for this game is insane, and also the controls just feel way better

finally managed with mgs2, i cant wait to play it again on my pc because the last stretch of the game was incredible

started mgs3 and its money, feels even better when you play it and not just watch it on stream

i aint given a 10/10 to a game in pretty much forever, closest i had was deus ex at 9 when i finally finished it not too long ago and disco elysium before that at 9 as well

mgs 3 is a 10/10 game straight up. controls are the most manageable, gameplay is the most enjoyable, and story is so bonkers that there are characters id put in the all-time pantheon of videogame characters from a single playthrough

also wanna say that i looked up Way to Fall after beating the game and theres this 15 year old upload of the song and i got my like on it from the days id watch mgs games on stream for an entire year back in uni. and that was more than 10 years ago at this point. i was lisning like damn my younger self would be proud i finally played and beat these s***s

great thing about that game is that the enemies will dynamically train off your skills. so prep up for them to have non-stop helmets going forward
